REPORT FOR THE WEEK OF 14 18 APRIL
To:
1. Attended lecture by Jay Lovestone at the National War College
last Friday. He appears to have had the type of experience
that would make him extremely valuable for instructional.

2. Fourth session of OSI Intelligence Reporting course, William
P. Bundy, ONE, the discussion leader.
3. Conducted two lecture discussions in UTG/A program in the
brief administration course.
4. From the estimates we have been able to secure regarding
probable numbers to be entered in UTG A overt rofessional
training, both at Alcott Hall and at it appears
that the time has come to plan definitely to close out the
UTG/A programs for overt GS-5 and up not later than 30 June,
provided that Personnel will enforce a policy of not employing
provisionally cleared professional personnel except under
conditions of extreme hardship or serious loss to the Agency.
It is necessary to wait to see how the Clerical training
programs develop before projections of future need are attempted.
In general, it would appear desirable to eliminate all
provisionally cleared trainees.
