SUBJECT: Progress Report for Week of 18 May through 22 May 1953
1. A combined total of 140 students is presently enrolled in
introductory and self-study courses in the Language Training
Division.
2. The language laboratory was used for a total of 530 hours
during the past week.
Five requests for non-CIA language training have been given
final approval by the Director of Training.
Plans are being finalized for the Soviet Asian periphery
seminar program and an announcement will be circulated this
coming week.
Two short semi-intensive courses in Bulgarian, one Basic
and one Advanced, will be starting on 1 June 1953 ,t the
