Dear Kellya
At our Suppliers Meeting in early December, 1955, we brought out
to you a letter setting forth the various I nisstions, *to. which
would be required of personnel destined for overseas operations with
Fhetsehment A.
In the ease letter, we rwAuseted a firm identification of those
personnel who were to comprise the initial crews for Detachment A
and requested that these name be submitted to the Ranch, with a
cow forwarded to Project Headquarters for our records. Sines then
we realise that there have been additions and deletions to the list
STAT dated December 14, 1955, which sent to and
our records may not be entirely accurate. We would, therefore,,
appreciate rscoivir g from you a firm. list of the personnel who will
co prise your crews for Detachment A, with the understanding that
any pessary future additions or deletions will be immediately
communicated to Project Headquarters.
As the time for the deployment of Detachment A nears, we are
most anxious to initiate actual unit training for the Detachment.
It is therefore, hoped that the personnel selected will be available
at the Ranch more or less centin ansly and that an or about Marsh 1.
this group of personnel can function as the Detachment A Unit. By
this we mean that the individuals selected would came under the
direct supervision of the designated Detachment A supervisor who,
in turn, would report to the Detachment Commander, Personnel for
Detachment A are now being assembled at the Ranch and we anticipate
that the Detachment Commander will asemme command and administrative
responsibility for personnel designated to be members of his Detach-
ment on or about this some date -- March lot.
