UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT : Deputy Director of Training (G) DATE: 13 March 1953 FROM : Chief, Intelligence Training Division SUBJECT: Career Planning for TR(G) Personnel 1. Reference is made to your memorandum of 4 March, 1953, subject: Career Planning for TR(G) Personnel. 2. Submitted herewith are suggestions for the training and rotation of the staff of this Division. Since the majority of the staff members have had less than a year's service in OTR, it has been difficult to recommend precise times for training or rotation. I feel that, as a general rule, training instructors should be relieved for duty in another office or attendance at an appropriate school after approximately three years of instructional service. 3. The Reading Improvement Branch represents a special case. The instructors believe that they can keep abreast of their pro- fessional field by contacts with reading improvement laboratories in this area and by participation in professional activities.
