1. Although there are forty-eight (48) students in the class
the relative standings listed appear in terms of forty (40) students.
This situation stems from the fact that several students made iden-
tical scores on the pre-course test.

grasp the broad significance of a problem because of over-
attention to an unexplained but trivial facet. She has a
noticeable tendency to preface remarks on an operational
question with an analogy from the field of the social
sciences. At times the analogy does not fit and the sub-
sequent operational remarks are rather far afield. In
general, her performance is good.

If scores appear to be low, it should be said that they are the
results of an exploratory device meant to find the level of class
knowledge concerning the material to be covered during the Course
(CSI's, etc.). In this test, the class average was 51 out of a
111 possible score.

presentations than in written work. His participation
in seminars is good and his grasp of the material is
satisfactory.

oral expression. There has not yet been an opportunity
to check his written work. There are no other signifi-
cant observations at this time,
