1. The attached memorandum from FE to Chief, rilitary
Personnel Division requesting a ruling on the validity of an
officer's acceptin quarters allowance when in fact he is furnished
quarters thru the medium of an agency of the United States Govern-
ment is transmitted for your action. Please advise this office
of your opinion in this matter. 25X1A
2. It is understood that Ar.-participated in
discussions leading to the adoption of the present regulations
and that your office concurred in the format of the Letter of
Instructions which is given each military officer prior to his
departure for overseas service by his case officer.
