At the request of I I the subject spoke to me this afternoon ern9~ig~ME for the calendar years 1951 and 1952, during both of which years the subject received a relatively small amount of remuneration from the Agency for services as a 25X1 2. returned to the United States in August of 1951 from where he had served as 25X1 25X1 25X1 25X1 for a continuous period of two years and eight months, with the excep- tion of two short trips to the United States. He has not yet filed his final federal tax return for 1951 apparently be- cause he was not seasonably furnished accurate figures of his Agency compensation, and when the information was made available, decided to postpone filing until his return to the United States. I went over tIIX1 preparation of the 1951 return with and was assured by Mr. 25X1 X1 25X1 I informed him that as soon as his form has been completed we would be willing to file them on his behalf with the Director of Internal Revenue in Balti- more. This procedure was entirely satisfactory to him. 25X1 3. Similar questions with respect to the 1952 final return also exist. His Ocompensation for this year was only $100. His 1952 return will be completed for submission along with the one for 1951.
