SUBJECT: Taxes -
Security Information
1. A net worth assessment has recently been made for
tax purposes on Mr. 0 income during the period of his
employment with the Agency. Following protest, a hearing
is now being held before an arbiter, and a member of this
office recently discussed the case with the Internal Revenue
agent making the investigation. We offered., for the Agency,
to provide whatever assistance we could in identification of
specific items in dispute. We also indicated our concern if
relationship with the Agency appeared to present a security
hazard. (We were assured that, so far, there was no such
indication.) Two years ago we informed the Bureau of the
actual amount of salary paid and tax withheld for the period
of employment in question. At the present time no further
information is required by the Bureau.
