The United States Sovernment is presently
leasins certain real property from you, known as the
"Pokil Social Club House and Lot". The promises are
more particularly described in the lease dated I Decem-
ber 1944, as amended, which is known as Contract No.
RC- 1789, The property has been and is now being used
by the Foreign Broadcast intelligence i.ranch which is
now a part of the Central IntellLL?ence Agency (forzerly
the Central Intelligenoe Group).
Effective 1 July 1947, the Central Intelligence
Agency assumed the abl ations under the above-mentioned
lease, together with. the supervision of the property
involved. The Budget and Finance )ranch, Central Intel-
ligence, Agency, is hereby designated as the Finance
Office to certify vouchers for payment in accordance with
the provisions of the lease after approval by the Chief,
Feld Correspondent, ''oreign Broadcast Intelligence
Branch, Pacific Furesu,, P.O. box FF, .ekaha, Kauai, T.H.
Also, effective 1S December 1947, Contract No. tC-5789
shall. be redestgggnated No. X G-50 and shall be so identi-
fied in all future referoncea.
The Central Intelligence Agency assumes all
rights, powers, responsibilities and obligations under
the above-mentioned lease, including the r g hts granted
under license a,z-eonent; RE-6143 and 3:-6144.
