SUBJECT: Maintenance of Buildings and Equipment a

1. Reference is made to memorandum of 2 October 1947
from the Chief, Contract Section, to the Office of the General
Counsel regarding War Department request for reimbursement for
improvements at Kauai.
_ 2. CIA is in receipt of invoices from utility companies
which are furnishing services to the Kauai Station. However,
payment cannot be effected until such time as the lease has
been formally processed.
3. Inasmuch as it is our desire to avoid any dis-
ruption of services, your. attention to this matter would be
appreciated,
