SUBJECT: Griggs v U.S. (See 810, 178 Fed. 2nd. 1 )
1. The Court of -appeals, 10th Circuit, has concluded
that the United States is liable under the Federal Tort Claims
Act for the death of a member of the Armed Forces on active, but
not combat, duty, allegedly caused by the negligent and unskill-
ful acts of members of the Army4dical corps.
2. A weak dissenting opinion by Jud,e Huxman followed
Jefferson v U.S. 77 Fed. 2nd. 706.
