b. No new special projects were commenced during this period.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
A. Special Project with seven
trainees is continuing very satisfactorily. This project was
originally scheduled to be completed on 22 July, but the trainees
and the desk have now requested an extra week for further detailed
discussion on CI and the interrogation procedures and problems.
We are going to make an effort to accommodate.

d. As a result of a machine run of the personnel cards,
of this unit was one of three employees who
had the necessary qualifications for an assignment at 25X1
This would be a training assignment for a 2 1/2 year tour of duty,
the first year of which the candidate would not be permitted to take
his family. eclined on the basis he did not desire
to be separated from his family for such a long period of time and,
further, that his career development could beat be enhanced by an
operational, rather than a training assignment.

f. In May of this year we received a request from SR~
to train in mapping, survival,
caching, black border crossing, weaponsconcealment, GW and
demolition to commence 1 August. This project was discussed by
C/OS with AF/0S and it was agreed that the training would be
conducted
On Wednesday 22 June advised that
because of other commitments they would proba y not be able to
release this man for the requested training and asked that the
matter be held in abeyance until further notification from the

arrive at headquarters on Tuesday 5 July.
