29 May 1956 to 5 June 1956

1. Chief/OB/BS had a special request from Lt Col Arntz of the Strategic
Intelligence School asking that he prepare a special presentation for
the Reserve Officer Program to be conducted by the School. The re-
quest for Agency speaker participation in this class has just been
received.
2. The Inspector General told the Chief/OB/BS that quite a diversity of
opinion has been received on the IG's recommendation regarding the
functions of Agency briefing.
3. On Tuesday 29 May 1956, the 23rd CIA Review Program was conducted. By
coincidence, the number in attendance was 23 and the audience was just
as difficult a group as ever attended such a Program which, of course,
makes the task and challenge all the more interesting and demanding.
!G. All arrangements have now been completed for the next Dependents'
Briefing to be conducted on 11 and 12 June 1956.
the new Chief, FE, has agreed to present the Bon Voyage Statement.
There is a strong possibility that Mrs. Dulles and Mrs. Cabell or
both will attend this Program.
5. our liaison with NSA, spoke to Chief/OB/BS about the
possibility of conducting a mass Departmental Briefing for approximately
450 NSA people. This would be staged in an NSA auditorium next
September or October. Chief/OB/BS indicated that such could be done,
but reminded that one of the benefits achieved by NSA
attendance at a monthly Departmental Briefings was making the NSA
people feel a part of the Intelligence Community. said that 25X1
this was a very important element and he felt that perhaps had been
overlooked by NSA in their request for the single big Program.
6. On Thursday May 31, 1956, Chief/OB/BS participated in a round-table
discussion which climaxed the visit of the Argentine key governmental
officials.
7. A request has been received from Security for a special program to be
conducted on June 20, 1956 for the personnel connected with Project

8. On Monday 4 June 1956, Chief/OB/BS conducted a VIP Program for 25X1
