SUBJECT: Congressional Contacts
1. In response to the request of the Director for information
regarding contacts with members of Congress, the following name is
submitted:
Senator Mike Mansfield of Montana 25X1A

2. I first met Senator Mansfield in 1947-1948
Austria and the Senator (then Congressman)
was a member of a Congressional Committee. At Senator Mansfield's
request, I returned from Austria to appear before his Committee and
others in support of our National Policies and particularly the Marshall
Plan.
3. Since then I have maintained contact with Senator Mansfield
and feel that I can speak to him at any time on a basis of mutual
trust and respect.
