DCI should call the Senator and express appreciation for his
statement on the Mansfield Resolution.
At a later date, after Matt Baird's return, DCI might want
to invite him down for lunch.
Senator Clinton Anderson --
Chairman, Joint Committee on Atomic Energy.
Good friend and admirer of DCI.
Has been sympathetic on executive pay problem.
Senators Byrd and Robertson --
DCI should call and notify them of his decision on the
building site before he proceeds.
Seek their advice on notification of Governor Stanley
White and I to visit him next week and brief him on building

Has entered a resolution for a Joint Committee.
Should the Director visit him or invite him to lunch?

DCI should invite him down or offer to see him and give him
a private briefing on Agency activities, etc.
Senator Kefauver --
A Has a standing invitation to come here for debriefing on his
trip to Russia and Satellite countries.

It would also be a good opportunity to discuss Joint Committee.

Director should visit them, together if possible, and discuss
a number of matters, including the Joint Committee Resolution.
If Cannon doesn't call first. DCI should call him in a few days
and gL-t his ideas on coverage of the next hearing, and whether
Rayburn and Mart in should be invited to attend.
