Bonner and others to Various Ports in Latin America ANTOFAGASTA, BAT,,.IWOS, BUENOS AIRES, CALI, GUAYAQUIL, LBilp MONTEVIDEO, PANAA CITY, PORT OF SPAIN, RIO DE JANEIRO, SALVADOR (BAHIA), SANTIAGO, SANTOS The following group consisting of Congressman Herbert C. Bonner of North Carolina, ranking Democratic member of the House Committee on Mer- chant Marine and Fisheries, Mr. Frank Pellegrini of the Labor-Management Committee of the steamship industry, Mr. William Kirsch of the Legal Staff of Maritime Administration and Mr. Randall J. Thompson, District Traffic Manager, Moore McCormack Steamship Lines, all accompanied by their wives, will sail from New York aboard the Moore McCormack Steam- ship "S.S, Argentina" on August 26 with the following itinerary: Trinidad UarOados Salvador(Bahia) Rio de Janeiro Santos Montevideo Buenos Aires Distributions OSD .ARMY-OCLL, AIR--LLD August 31; September 1; September 7; September 9; September 11 September 14; September 15. Congressman and Mrs. Bonner only are leaving the above group at Buenos Aires and proceeding to Santiago, Chile, where they will arrive on August 17 via Panagra Flight No. 300. They then will board the Grace Line vessel "S.S. Santa Cecilia", leaving Valparaiso on September 22 with the following itinerary up the West Coast: San Antonio September 2~ Antofagasta September 20 Callao, September 29 Guayaquil October 1 Buenaventura October 3 Balboa and Cristobal October 5 The Embassy at Panama City should inform the Governor of the Canal Zone of the date of arrival in Balboa and Cristobal. Congressman Bonner and the other members of the party wish to observe and study actual operating techniques of the various ports listed above. The Department would appreciate it if appropriate courtesies are extended to this party.
