1. No comments are offered with respect to this bill;
however, as provided in the bill, it will be necessary for
Central Intelligence to obtain specific exemption to its
provisions.
2. The Agency stocks material procured from GSA, Army,
Navy, and Air Force, as well as special items peculiar alone
to the Agency procured from covert sources. Because of the
variety of stocks carried which have been obtained from
various sources, security considerations dictate that CIA
must independently select the most secure channel with which
to effect proper disposal actions.
