Effect of receipt of life insurance policy proceeds upon
Federal Employees' Compensation Act benefits
This refers to your verbal inquiry as to the legal effect upon
Federal Employees' Compensation Act benefits of the receipt of the
proceeds of a life insurance policy, the premiums for which were
paid from Government funds,
It is the position of the Bureau that the ecei t f 0 4 s
of a life insurance policy, the premiums on which were paid by a
Federal agency for the purpose of augmenting the protection extended
to its employees under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act, does
not affect the right of the beneficiary to receive any benefits pro-
vided by the Compensation Act,
