1. I would like to call your attention to the attached paid.
political advertisement which appeared in the Charlottesville,
Virginia DAILY PROGRESS. You will notice that my name appears
among those who favor President Eisenhower's reelection.

a friend of mine who has been activel campaigning for Mr.
Eisenhower's reelection, approached and me at a party in 25X1A9a
order to obtain our help in sponsoring President Eisenhower. I

President, the Hatch Act prevented me from giving any support what-
