1. There is attached hereto a memorandum dated 27 July 1954
25X1A9a from the FBI wherein is report2ekl6 have solicited
2Ct'rributions to further the politica aims of '
Maryland. " The FBI advises that a
copy of this memorandum is being furnished to the Civil Service
Commission and that no further investigation is being conducted
unless so directed by the Criminal Division, Department of Justice.
2. This office has taken no action in this case and it is
recommended that the Criminal Division, Department of justice,
be queried as to whether or not they contemplate any further action
in regard to this case. There are no security factors of an Agency
nature concerning this Subject. Please return the FBI report when
it has served its purpose.
