parertly he had requested permission to engage in the practice of

statutes and there was considerable diecu.ssion about the ethical aspects
of possible cases he might be involved it which would possUlly relate
to the Government it some manner. Since his principal business at
this tame is looking into the matter of acquiring land for a construc-
tion comxv+.ny which has been forfeited for taxes, there would appear to
be no problem at, this ti.ms.

4. T carrt.i.oned that the burden of avoiding any
v .olation of the eonfli.c+. of interests statute was clearly on him as
was also the burden of avoiding any erpbarre.ssment from possible cases
resix1tlnr from his Agency employment. He was advised to "lean over
backwards" in conducting his law practice to avoid these problems,
and it was suggested that in any case where a question arose in his
