You requested that I investigate the employment possibilities for lawyers in while I was there over the Christmas o y. 25X1A6a 25X9A5 2. While in I talked with three lawyers on this subject, including The consensus 25X1 A6a seemed to be that the employment possibilities for lawyers in the - area were as good now as they have been since 25X9A5 the close of the Second W ld W i h 25X9A5 or ar, or, n "as good as I've known them". While I went into no with the other two lawyers, I suggested to p rase, ecifics that the man I had in mind was about thirty years of age, a Harvard Law School graduate, and had not engaged in the practice of law since his graduation, presumably about four or five years ago. 25X9A5 stated that a starting salary would be in the neigh- borhood of $1+,500 to $5,000 a year. 3. With regard to possible openings, none of the men with when I talked bad any specific references to offer. All seemed to think that the best approach was to start knocking on doors and following up whatever leads were acquired incident to this 25X9A5 process. It is possible that, were assistance re- 25X1 A6a quested in the Agency's placing of a lawyer in -, he could be of more specific help. However, the question of whether or not his assistance should be sought is a policy one which undoubtedly will be resolved prior to the time the actual place- ment is undertaken. 25X1 9a E. ET
