1. II came in to see me on 29 August. He raised certain
technical questions concerning accomplishment of the application
for retirement and the forms relating to a possible BEC claim.
2. He also again raised a point of the freight from Washington
to the West Coast of two trunks totaling about 700 pounds. He
insists that the $7.73 charge mentioned in the last letter from
Mr. Reynolds was merely the railway express cartage from his hotel
in Washington to Union Station. He believes that by working back
from this fee for cartage the Agency would be in a position to
approximate the amount of the freight. I told him to raise this
question again in his next letter transmitting the completed
forms. At that time I will work with in preparing 25X1A9a
an answer too to settle finally this,question.
