paragraph for loss or damage to
effects not packed by him and ov6r
which he has no control (such as.'
effects in locked trunks, dresser
drawers, barrels, and boxes alrehdy
packed) unless such loss or damage
results from the Contractor's
negligence or improper performance
hereunder.
For any loss or damage of effects
for which the Contractor is responsible,
the Contractor shall make prompt pay-
ment to the owner thereof.
as stated herein shall not be con-
strued as placing a limitation on
the amount of protection or coverage
of the effects processed under this
Contract. Additional protection or
coverage on the effects may be pro-
cured by the owner thereof at his
own expense. ;
The Contractor shall furnish an
inventory in quadruplicate showing
condition of the effects at the:
time of packing. This inventor
shall embody a signed statement
to the effect that the Contractor
shall be responsible to the owned
of the effects in the amount of ;
thirty dollars ($30.00) per hundred
pounds for damage to the effects;
packed or hauled by him due to
improper performance of these
services. A list of all package`s,
showing package numbers, content;,
and weight shall-be furnished to;
the Government on completion of
packing.

The Government reserves the right to infect the; plant o!' any
bidder and to reject any bid su~itted if facilities are found
to be inadequate.
The Government does not guarantee any minimum orb maximum quantity
