Wednesday - 8 August 1956
1. The Director talked to Congressman Mahon about
his plans for putting into effect a new pay scale for senior
officials of the Agency. He indicated that Mr. Mahon was
sympathetic to the idea, and suggested that the Director write
other key congressmen and inform them of his plans.
2. Called Senator Frear at his office in Dover, Delaware,
50X1 and gave him the story on the case in which
he was interested. A memo on this case has been sent to Col.
Edwards.
