early November with Naguib and with the ten anonymous leaders of the secret
"Free Officers" group who were, in effect directing the affairs of the_new
Naguib regime in Egypt. Miss Higgins' first three interviews had been
published in the NEW YORK HERALD TRIBUNE (N.Y. edition) on November 1^~, l~+
and 17. Her fourth interview, and the first to mention Nasser (Nasir) by
name, appeared on November 19.
