1. I (appreciates the overlays forwarded
with reference memorandum. This is a type of information which
has been most useful to this Division in the preparation of intelli-
gence reports and the Division is grateful for the offer to supply
such overlays on a continuing basis.
2. It is proposed that the suggested transmittal of overlay
data be accomplished in the following manner:
a. The overlays transmitted with referenced memorandum
will be reproduced in three copies here in Washington, on a
new plastic called cronaflex, in sheets that are of a con-
venient size for handling. Reproduction will be in black and
white, which will necessitate the changing of some symbols
presently in color.

and the others sent to appropriate border teams.
c. Every third month the border teams could bring the
cronaflex copies up to date by marking in ordinary No. 1 lead
pencil. Additions to or deletions from the original material
can be indicated in pencil without the necessity for completely
redrafting.

b. One copy of the cronaflex reproductions could be kept
d. Border team copies could be sent land the 25X1A
information transferred to cronar ex copies in
pencil. Ozalid reproductions of the corrected 25X1A
copies could be made
e. The border team copies could then be returned to them. 25X1A
for the next report. The pencil notations could easily be
erased and be replaced by other pencil information.
