S 1'ECT : Translation of Foreign Authority Names
1. Differences in the nature and ultimate use of Sections 90 and
91 of Chapter IX have resulted in a difference in policy for the
translation of namea of foreign authorities (non-English). The present
policy is as follovs:
a? In Section 20 the English translation will be added
in parentheses the first time the authority is mentioned
and as often thereafter as the author and/or coordinator
deem advisable.
b. Foreign language authority names will not be translated
throughout Section 91 but will appear with English
translations on a list dished at the end of the Section.
2. Please provide English translations either in the text
(Section 90) or in list form (Section 91) for all foreign authority names
referred to in future contributions to Chapter IX.
