With the receipt of quotas from the Departments of the Air Force and Arm, CIA. now has authority to send career officers to nine of the ten Department of Defense Schools listed in CIA 25X1A Notice No. - of b February 1952. Action is still pending on the request for a quota at the Armed Forces Staff College. Selection has been initiated for the classes convening next August - September at the National War College, Industrial College of the Armed Forces and the Naval. War College. 2. CIA's first participant under the agreement with the Marine Co a for basic, OCS and active duty training - Pvt. 25X1A9a SMCR - stood number 2 in a class of some on completion of his Pre-Basic training of ten weeks at Quantico. 3. Sixty-nine persons attended the weekly Intelligence In- doctrination program conducted for new employees. Prior weekly attendance has been averaging well over one hundred. 4.
