ence nn Paris as a member of the U. S. delegation. As a member
of the Committeets Subcommittee on /oroign Trade Policy, Mr. McCarthy
will be particularly interested in matters concerning this Subcommittee.
Mr. McCarthy is authorized to utilize local currencies 19FT561
funds to defray his official travel expenses,
Provisions of the Handbook for Congressional Travel apply. Please
meet and assist. Contro o ficers should a appointed. Please mom
the necessary hotel reservations, the best available accommodations,
in accordance with the itinerary listed herein and confirm such
reservations to the Department. He should be housed in Paris mith
the other members of the United States delegation to NATO. The Depart-
ment of Defense has been requested to make military transporation
services available to Mr. McCarthy. Phase coordinate any such
arrangements with representatives of that Department wen appropriate.
Please inform the Department and onward posts if there should
be any changes in the itinerary listed below:
