.SUBJECT Instructions for Preparir~ Gaps in Information Statements
~.? As a. result of the review of the materials submitted by all,
Branches on ~ August and of further discussions with St/I and the DJ~/p,~
it hes been found necessary to limit the number of Gapa Statements that
wi11 be forwarded to collectors each month Accordingly, each Division
has been assigned a quota of 3 Statements per month except for D/A, which
has been given a quota of 1., Division Chiefs are t'espnnsible for d?ter=
.mining the subjects and areas for which the ~t&tements are to be preparedo
Insofar as possible, Statements should be scheduled in order of priority
of sub3ect_,
2.Q Time spent in preparing Caps in Information Statements should
be recorded nn analgsts a time sheets under Project 1Vo? OOa 2~.16m
3p For the present, Branches should forward each completed
Statement to the Chief/E through the Div3.sian Chief, When a Statement
has been approved by the Chief?E, it ~~xill be returned to-the Branch for
typing on stencil and the making of copies w ould ?then be

the preparation of the Gaps Statementss which should be written in
accordance with the attached ir~tructians.

as Collection Requirements at the Termination of Each Branch Pro3ect?
is hereby rescindedQ No Branch is precluded, however, frrnn submitting
such requirements to St/I if it wishes to do soa
