1. Ted Rivinus, chairman of FSI1s Mid-Career course, has
asked that I participate in his program in August. However,
before any commitments are made I'm planning to meet with him
next week to review the program and to urge a somewhat more
extensive involvement of SIC. A one-shot appearance in an
unfamiliar context doesn't put our best foot forward with a group
such as this one. I'm also concerned to find out why wasn't
invited back, particularly since Bob felt that his last appearance
had been well received by the class.
2. After my lecture at SIS last Friday I stopped in to see
the Commandant with the same purpose in mind - to review SIC's
participation in his programs and to sound out SIS's future plans.
They apparently continue to be well satisfied with the service
which we have provided and it appears as though we have an open-
ended commitment to go on with the same type and amount of coverage.
