As I indicated in our discussion this morning I have spent this week sounding out the members of SIC Staff concerning their activities during the past year, with a particular view toward developing any ideas for change, improvement, or projection of SIC's program. The only tangible result thus far has been the introduction of a number of changes in the upcoming Communist Party Organization and Operations, changes which I hope will help in removing the "academic" label which seems to have become attached to this particular course. I am planning to act as course supervisor for the July presentation. 2. I'd like to express again my thanks for your sponsorship of a very fine, and I hope productive, year at the National War College. I particularly appreciate, however, the warm welcome back. 3. Non Agency Presentations: 15 June - Ful "Political System" 25X1A 16 June - FSI "Theoretical Background" 17 June - SIS - "Review of Communist Ideology" 17 June - FSI "Economic Potential" 25X1 A 4. participated in the IAS seminar - A Comparative Study of East European Communist Parties in Government - on June 16. 25X1A Approved For Release 2000/0~@0.3: 00442A000100010025-2
