1. 0 participated in the University of Chicago's
retesting of Government people in "Management Techniques".
Due to vacation-leaves, only about half the June group (of
100) were present; the absentees get their chances for the
retest later (probably in September). Dr. Harold Quetzkow,
who conducted the retesting, announced that results will
be fed back perhaps in October.
2. The Management Staff is sponsoring a rerun of "RCA-
501" in the period 31 August - 3 September igS9, using the
T-30 Auditorium (0900 - 1600 daily).
Meetings were held with PPS, and Jim
A&E Staff, to consider ways and means
of 3.mplementing the Inspector General's recommendation
that the function of distributing training evaluation re-
ports be transferred fraan the A&E Staff to the Registrar
Staff. No particular problems or difficulties are observed
and the Registrar Staff is prepared to assume this new task
immediately.

tive life of one and one-half years, was terminated on 25
June 1959. This Staff provided class administrative sup-
port to the program from its inauguration to its conclusion.

5. One apace (of 18 total) in the FSI "Labor Affairs
Seminar", a four-week course beginning 11} September 1959,
will be filled by an FE-DD~P candidate whose forcnaJ. appli-
cation reflects a specific operational necessity for the
training to be afforded by the Seminar.
6. Nir. SA-DDS, informed
on 29 July that because of his new overseas assignment,
he will be unable to attend the University of Chicago pro-
gram for the period 17 - 28 August. A candidate from DDS
will be nominated within the next few days, and the Univer-
sity of Chicago will be notified of the change.
7. EE Division, the Agency's nominee
for the Naval War College returned this week from overseas.
We expect that all administrative problems will be worked
out within the next week. 0 is currently in Newport
looking over the housing situation.
8. The orientation of Training Assistants (five of
them) was well organized and conducted by at
the close of the last reporting period. Previously re-
ported)
~. will attend the luncheon meeting
of the Depar en~ o griculture's Graduate (so-called)
School to be held 31 July 1958. She has combined purposes,
in that she will not only extend the acquaintance begun by
in the previous meeting, but also get information
on scientific and technical offerings of the School for
DC~PPS~TR.
10. The DTR-approved change of dates, from 31 August
(beginning) to 26 October (beginning) of the Intelligence
Orientation course ran into an inadvertent road-block Mien
ascertained, in a routine check, that
C/SIC had not been consulted. Mr. "Introduc-
tion to Communism" is phased into IOC, but due to prior
scheduling, g conflict with JOT training would result from
a change: accordingly, the normal interlocking of IOC and
IC cannot be effected this fall.
