He was also pleased to hear that we have reduced the number
and complexity of our evaluation procedures. He was much inter-
ested in the type of evaluation which the Covert Instructors
prepare for U.S. and foreign trainees and indicated to me that
so long as we had mature, experienced instructors, he saw no reason
for the professional psychologists to concern themselves with
Covert Training. I told him that our experiment with a psy-
chologist stationed at had not been productive.
