II. OTHER ACTIVITIES
On 9 June I had a phone call from thanking 25X1A9a
a.
us for the very successful visit which he and three of his 25X1A
senior officers had during the previous week.
_ informed me that he had talked at some length 25X1A9a
with Rod concerning the OFC and he made a date with me to
talk with him and his training officer on 16 June to explore
the possibility of enrolling three or four of his people in
the OFC in the fall.
afternoon of 10 June and the morning of 25X1A6a
11 June b. The new
setup is excellent. It appears much more business-like than 25X1A9a
the revious office, the security installation is first class,
and has initiated a filing system for students' materials
and programs which is a model of its kind. The group is very
busy at this time, including who has been thrust 25X1A9a
completely into the program. She appears to be thriving on
her new work.
c, reports that the - Program is pro-
gressing quite nicely. He indicated some concern, however,
over the fact that 11 is attempting to inject into
the instruction a measure R propaganda designed to convince
the NSA participants that their Agency is not qualified to
conduct independent clandestine operations of the sort in-
volved in the training program. I agree with that it
is not our function to influence inter-agenc relationships
or policies. I have asked him to influence to cease
and desist.
