1. We have arranged an informal meeting of interested
and LAS personnel to hear Professor Roger Sweringen of the Uni!
versity of Southern California discuss a conference he is conduct-
ing next summer on "Russia and Asia."
2. Williams and Caldwell of TSS have discussed with us
their interest in a special French course for technical personnel.
We have agreed to help within our capability (which excludes duty-
hour instruction), and have offered several proposals that they now
are considering.
3. Seven QRP's considered candidates for intensive and tutorial
language training.
