SIGNIFICANT ITEMS None to report. B. OTHER ACTIVITIES 1. Steady progress is being made toward completing all processing and testing for 1958 in the Language Development Program. The Registrar has reported as of Monday that 153 individuals who had taken written proficiency tests during 1958 remained to be tested orally. As of to- day, this figure stands at 66. Delays in testing have largely been occasioned by failure of the individuals to show up at the scheduled time and this suggests the advisability of enforcing a greater discipline in this regard. The LAS Staff is not so large that repeat tests can be arran d he convenience of the person being tested. in French, Spanish, Japanese, Indonesian, Greek, Russian and German. 3.
