MEMORANDUM FOR THE CHIEF, LIAISON DIVISION, OCD
SUBJECT: Distribution of DCID 4/3 "Comprehensive National
Intelligence Objectives, " and DCM 4/4 "Priority
National Intelligence Objectives"
1. Copies of subject directives will be produced in the usual
format for inclusion in the "Intelligence Directives" loose-leaf
books. In view of the probable demand, a somewhat larger
number has been ordered for reserve stock. It will be
appreciated if you will have this distribution made in the
regular way.
2. Because of the importance of these documents and the
anticipated wide demand for them, an additional 500 copies have
been ordered in a different format. These will be bound in blue
covers similar to the NIE's. They will be delivered to you by
Reproduction in the near future.
3. Please make a regular NIE distribution of this special edition.
In addition, as agreed in our recent conversation, please make
supplementary distribution within CIA and among the /AC agencies
to research and requirements activities on a need-to-know basis.
This should include a sufficient number for broad use at the
working-level.
4. Distribution to foreign governments is not authorized.
