SUBJECT: Monthly Report for October 1956
1. Accomplishments
a. Project 31.1637 "The Egyptian Land Armaments Industry"
was submitted to Chief, ERA on 30 October 1956. This
project received top priority due to the Middle East
situation.
b. A draft copy of Project 31.1564 "Procurement Costs of
the. Soviet Armored Fighting Vehicles Program" was
turned in to D/I for a review.
c. Project 10.1536 "Evaluation of the Five-Year Plans
the European Satellites" was forwarded to D/I.
d. I/WA contributed to the critique of US Military
Attache Reports.
e. I/WA coordinated Project 42.1653, an estimate of the
availability of military equipment for export by the
USSR to the Middle East.
