1. Accomplishments
a. Project 31.1115 "The Value of Land Armaments Exported
by the Soviet Bloc to the Middle East (1 July 1955-
30 June 1956) was published as CIA/SC/RR 153 on 2
September 1956. Responsible analyst was 25X1 A9a
b. Contributions were made to the following projects:
10.1536 - "Evaluation of the 1956-60 Five-Year Plans
of the European Satellites."
10.805 - "Chinese Communist Capabilities and Probable
Courses of Action Through 1961 (NIE)"
c. The first issue of ar irregular publication entitled
"A Review of Intelligence Findings in the Armaments
Industries," No. 1, September 1956 was distributed
to interested consumers in CIA and throughout the
intelligence community for comments. If successful,
it will become a part of our program.

An intensive effort is being made to finish Project 31.1564
"Procurement Costs of the Soviet Armored Fighting Vehicles
Program."
