1. Accomplishments
a. Projects Completed
(1) Comments for "Assessment of the UN Economic Commission
for Europe (ECE) as an Intelligence Source" (00.1978)

(2) "Net Domestic Availability of Textile Fabrics, Per
Capita, USSR, 1913 and 1956" (ERA Project 3-182) was
completed by
b. Status of Other Projects
(1)
continued work on "Price Trends in
Consumer Expenditures in the USSR" (30.153+).
(2) - continued work on "Expenditures on Consumer
Services in the USSR" (30.1771). Much of his time
during July was spent in using sources in the Library
of Congress.
(3) continued work on "Synthetic Fibers and
Fair cs in the USSR" (30.1911), the study that is
being made in collaboration with M/CH.
25X1A9a (4) is nearing completion of the revision of
the domestic trade section of NIS 18 on Czechoslovakia
(4o.1791).
(5)
- continued work on "The Housing Problem in
the European Satellites" (38.17+1). He has completed
the Polish and Czechoslovakian sections of this
ambitious project.
25X1A9a (6) worked on the
revision of the light industry section of NIS 14 on
Poland (30.1518). During July they completed the work
of bringing the Satellite estimate cards up to date.

(7) completed the changes suggested by the
D/I review of the prospective RR, "Domestic Trade
