1. Accomplishrr nts
a.. Considerable research effort was expended on Project 10.1505,
r'Soviet Military Expenditures". This included a search for Soviet
price information at the German Military Documents Section in Alex-
andria. In addition, I/WA ammunition estimates have been reevaluated
by tying ammunition production to output of artillery and small
arms. The results suggest that present ammo estimates may be too
high.

Efforts are being made to strengthen
25X1 B4 Soviet Forces in East Germany. A joint
approach to DD /P by St FM and I/WA evoked the reply that something
could be done on the matter provided adequate guidance were furnished.
St/FIMT and I/WA are working; jointly on the preparation of appropriate
guides.
