ation Requirements on Austria
-lthough the several hundred industrial and cuaercial organi-
zations formerly operated by t5IA and the SHY were formally returned
to Austrian control under the terms of the 1955 treaty, it is possible
that the Soviet continue to have an abnormal influence on the Austrian
economy. Information is desired on covert Soviet influence in any of
nizations formerly controlled overtly by '415U or the SMV as well
as on newly-developed means of exerting influence on other economic
organizations.
The questions below should help to guide collection efforts.
