Completed, in conjunction with D/I and D/M components, re- maining 130 intelligence "Fact Sheets" on Sino-Soviet Bloc position and prospects concerning individual strategic commodities being recommended by US for embargo or sur- veillance in current COCOM list review. 2. Reviewed 110 combined CIA.BFC "Fact Sheets" which will be sent to USDEL to COCO4 in Paris. 3, Briefed D/M intelligence officer departing for COCOM list review of chemical category. Provided following intelligence support to economic defense community: Working Group I - 27 cases involving aino-Soviet Bloc, largely (EDAC) Polish exceptions Working Group II - 64 cases involving administrative action (EDAC) Operating Committee - 4 cases concerning Polish exceptions (ACEP) 5. Provided intelligence information on 3 cases of diversion, 2 on borax, 1 on boric acid crystals, for April meeting of COCOM Export Control Subcommittee in Paris. 6. Prepared two memoranda for Diversion Control Panel (EDAC) on attempts by Soviet Bloc to obtain phthalic anhydride and oil-drilling equipment, both of US origin. 7. Provided intelligence to General Counsel, DD/P, State, Treasury,,and Commerce on variety of activities of suspect East-test traders.
