Air Force Request for an Ad Hoc Committee to Develop a Proposed U. S. Policy
for the Treatment of Soviet and Satellite Attaches in the U. S.: Air Force
memorandum on subject considered 12 April, 26 April and 2 May 1950.
Still being studied.
Intelligence Su2port for Voice of America re Soviet Jamming: Proposed
memo to NSC transmitted to IAC Members 21 July. JIG, FBI and ONI have
approved. Army is considering this with AFSA.
Critical National Intelligence Objectives: Air Force's Defense List of
10 July to be considered with o her priority lists with a vier towards
having one priority list. Probably there will be a Standing Committee
meeting next week.

Atomic Energy Intelligence., Letter of 25 July from Executive Secretary,, NSC
to implement actions on Recommendations 1-7 in DCI memo'to NSC dated
28 June, receiving attention in CIA. Copies forwarded to IAC Members
for information and study, 7 August. CIA-IA.C action on Recommendation 8
awaiting contemplated NSC action by Undersecretary Webb on State-Defense
Staff Study on Production of National Intelligence, to determine what
further action may be necessary.
Central Regist of Personality Files: Answer being drafted to General
Irwin's letter of 20 July.
CIA Emergency Plans: Continuing work on emergency operating plan. Repos-
itory plan completed.
Atomic Energy Intelligence: Letter 25 July from Executive Secretary,, NSC
to implement actions on Recommendations 1-7 in DCI Memo of June 28th
being studied by-COAPS and other CIA offices: of. Priority List of
Critical Objectives; Collection
Deficiencies; New NSCIDs 1 and 5.0 etc, --- a long-range, multifarious
project. Copies of above letters and the Ad Hoc Committee Report have
been furnished Assistant Directors.
