There are wary committees chaired by CIA on which other
Departments and Agencies have members. Ususually these members come
from some or all of the agencies of the Intelligence Advisory Committee
and these members are designated by their chiefs to assist the DCI
in fulfilling his coordinating responsibilities. They do, or at least
should, reporter or submit recommendations to the DOI through the CIA
Chairman.
2. There is to be no change in the existing committees but when
new committees are established of this nature they should be known
the "--- Advisory Committee" or as the "CIA Interdepartmental
Committee on -11.
3? In the future we do not wish to use just the word "Interdepart
mental" Committee because there are so mw others chaired by State,
Commerce, et ale and in the future we do not wish to use the word
"Joint" because this is usually used in the Committees working for the
Joint Chiefs of Staff.
