"In general I feel that the Use volumes represent an
excellent orientation to the problem. The present situa
tion is very nicely placed in proper historical context. It
also seems to be excellently balanced. The stuff on the
major social groups was good too, except that I thought
it needed more definition, and clarification.
"The whole thing could use a considerable amount of
'buttoning up,' that is shortening and eliminating
repetition. I realise that many elements do not fit
nice neat individual packages, but at the same time
tempts should be made to arrange them that way.
