SUGGESTED PROCEDURE FOR HANDLING DELETIONS TO TARGET LISTINGS
18 Nov. 1957
At the time the plots for a given mission are completed, the OCR Element of HTA
will take the following steps:
1 - Record the coordinates of the coverage made good, excluding all cloud
covered areas or partially covered areas, etc.
2 - Punch these coordinates into machine tabulating cards (IBM).
3 - Match these IBM cards with the master deck of IBM cards containing
low-priority targets (identified in the existing Target Listings as
Z-l, Z-2 and Z-3 priority targets)
4 - Matching cards will be listed and copies of this listing will be
disseminated to all ARC members for deletion consideration.'
5 - At a subsequent ARC meeting these deletions will be discussed. Any
targets which are felt must remain in the Target Listings must be
justified before the ARC.
6 - A special listing of these deletions will be prepared for the Director
of Operations, Project Headquarters to aid in mission planning.
