By direction of Mr. Bissell, I yesterday officially informed 25X1A Colonel facia, in response to his query, that there was no objection to putting on a stand-by basis inasmuch as it is our under standing that it Fume easibte to reactivate by support from Wiesbaden within 24 hours after notification. 25X1 C Z. I explained further to Colonel Macia that would be conducted by the Commander of Base , w it a part o s complement, that after a relatively short stay Corn- 25X1C naander Base B would return to Adana, and that meanwhile act on was required from Adana that portion of equipment remaining at Adana could be used for emer enc rposes, augmented if necessary on a 24 hour basis I also indicated to Colonel Macia that Base B would likely continue operational until at least the fall. 3. On the basis of the foregoing. I recommend that you inform your personnel at der that they can accommodate themselves 25X1A to plans for putting on a stand-by basis. 4.
